rame2 beberapa hari ini tentang gugatan rumah sakit omni pd ibu prita soal pencemaran nama baik mengingatkan saya pd kasus serupa beberapa tahun lalu. tapi situasi ditangani dg cara yg berbeda.

dulu, m fahmi aulia pernah punya pengalaman buruk dg sepatu edward forrer. kecewa, dia menginjak injak edward forrer di blog (yg blog itu terbaca langsung oleh publik dan bukan sekedar curhat via imel yg ditujukan ke kalangan tertentu). tapi merespon publikasi panas di blog itu, edward forrer bukannya bersikap defensif ato malah bikin ribut. pintarnya edward forrer malah memanfaatkan kritik itu sbg jembatan pr secara cerdik. nggak cuman beruntung bisa merevisi kualitas produknya, tapi juga ndongkrak reputasi pelayanannya pisan.

lha, kembali ke kasus omni vs prita, nggak ngerti apa yg ada di benak manajemen omni sekarang ini. njeglek pol. membawa kasus ini ke pengadilan jelas mengeluarkan banyak effort, dan parahnya malah merusak reputasi rumah sakit. semakin rame, semakin orang benci pd omni. mungkin yg sekarang terpikir cuman menyelamatkan ego.

di situasi macem gini, jalan keluar seperti apa yg mungkin masuk akal?

misalnya saya ini berada di posisi juragan ato pemilik rumah sakit omni, saya akan pecat siapa pun itu pihak manajemen atau corong rumah sakit yg bertanggung jawab menangani tugas pr. karena kesalahannya bikin blunder serius. berikutnya gantikan posisi pr dg pribadi lain yg lebih manis omongannya. suruh pr baru untuk mengakui kesalahan dalam konteks merespon kekecewaan pasien dan minta maaf tentu saja. apabila perlu, limpahkan kesalahan pd pr lama. ya nanti kalo situasi udah adem, kalo mau rekrut kembali orang lama karena dekat ya terserah.

penanganan situasi macem ini pernah dipake martin withmarsh, bos mclaren mercedes pd kasus kebohongan yg melibatkan pembalap lewis hamilton dan race engineernya (nama race engineernya sapa ya? lupa). kebohongan itu sebenernya nggak banyak pengaruh pd perolehan poin mclaren pd kompetisi musim ini, tapi jadi masalah serius soal reputasi sport secara umum. mclaren kemudian pecat itu race engineer, bilang itu kesalahan race engineer bikin keputusan, kalo mclaren-nya sendiri suci nggak suka berbohong. kemudian mclaren ngirim surat resmi soal permohonan maaf pd FIA. dg demikian pengadilan memutuskan penangguhan hukuman, atau secara implisit ‘memaafkan’ mclaren.

dying earth is a video created by my friend atas for youtube cannes young lion video and viral competition. i didn’t pay much attention to the competition, but check out her creativity in the making of this one minute video. equipment limitations never be a block for atas, fyi: she captured all motion pictures, recorded the whistle, and finally edited the video in post production, totally only using her cell phone! but that’s not yet the best part. it’s her concern for the climate change that’s important. i decided to relay her video in this blog with a hope to inspire more people to act more environmentally friendly

Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. Hopefully I’ll be there, with a beautiful wife, to enjoy the beautiful panorama.

I’ve seen so many beautiful under water pictures from Bunaken, Sulawesi. Someday I must be there to take the pictures myself.

Switzerland Alps. I love mountains. I love them more than beaches. Clear sky, fresh atmosphere, and a mug of hot choccolate before skiing down the slopes. Nice!

And for the unforgettable experience, for the exoticism of the Orient, the legendary Shangri-La, China. Oh it would be amazing if the story, the myth, the ancient culture and everything is real.

My favourite place is of course my very own bedroom, hehe. But no, the pic you see is not my current bedroom. Someday, maybe.

This is MY pic. Mine. I shot this picture two years ago, put a watermark on it, and publish it on my old blog at blogspot. But instead of my blog, I found this pic on another blog. Ah never mind lah, no problemo. I’m getting used to this kind of appreciation.

A digital camera to me is like a magic wand to a wizard. It’s magical.

The other favourite thing is Ferrari F360 Challenge Stradale. Some people worship american muscles, some others are nippon tuner fanatics. But I myself think this prancing horse is exotic!

Again, Surabaya. I grew up in the comfort of the city of rujak cingur, semanggi, lontong balap and bebek goreng. Oh, heaven!

I enjoy photography as much as I enjoy velocity and exotic culinary. I may not shoot very good, but I do shoot a lot.

The pinnacle of motorsports, the finest prototype car human ever build, the fastest machine on tarmac. The one and only, Formula One.

And the other hobby, the guilty pleasure, is food tasting. Yay!

12. A bad habit

I have no understanding of time and normal circadian rhythm. Sometimes I sleep too much, some other times I could stay awake for days. Right now, I’m doing “the early a.m. therapy” in attempt to overcome this sleeping disorder and to live a healthy life.

14. Wishlist

Would somebody please be generous to send me a DSLR camera as birthday gift? It’s April 14th by the way. I believe I can be more productive with a DSLR camera.
